Christina and Josh’s Columbus Hayden Run Falls sunrise engagement was by far one of the most adventurous sessions I have photographed to date.

They arrived to their sunrise session at Hayden Run Falls on one of the chilliest winter mornings. There was frost everywhere and we could see our breath in the air, but that didn’t dull their enthusiasm in the slightest. They cuddled together closer as we shot to keep warm and they so naturally laughed and played with each other as their love for each other came to life in front of the camera.

At one point, we even hiked up and down the side of a frozen hill to get the perfect shot by the water. That’s when I knew these two were all in – Josh adventured down first to scope out the location, and then Christina followed IN HER HEELS (I meannnnn, what. a. queen. oh my goodness). I, of course, was the clumsy one, so shoutout to Josh for keeping me and my gear from tumbling down the icy hill into the freezing cold water (this couple is just the best, let me tell ya).

All that to say, this shoot was the best and was 100% worth freezing our butts off for. I’m thankful for Christina and Josh’s adventurous spirits and for their willingness to have fun on their session – and as you can see, it totally paid off. By the end of their Hayden Run Falls engagement, we were laughing like old friends and I can’t even wait for their 2019 wedding. Enjoy these precious pictures of this cutie couple.
