Capturing beauty in the big moments and the small, in Ohio and destinations worldwide.
Hi there! Welcome to the Catherine Milliron Photography blog, the place where my passion for photography, travel, and business collides.
I love serving and celebrating my couples on their happiest days and I love serving and celebrating other business owners as I share my knowledge and love of business education.
I hope you'll grab your favorite beverage (I'll be sipping a lavender latte) and stay awhile!
This wine and tan Rosedale Bible College winter wedding is filled to the brim with holiday magic. Kelly and Aaron got married just ten days before Christmas and their winter wedding was absolutely dreamy. The bridesmaids’ wine dresses and the groomsmen’s tan vests perfectly complimented the winter scenery at Rosedale Bible College in Columbus, Ohio. […]
Happy new year, dear friends!! And what a year it’s been. 2019 was a wonderful one for Catherine Milliron Photography, and since it’s been such a fantastic year, I figured it was only fitting for me to round up all the best behind-the-scenes photos I could find.
There are candids, bloopers, inside peeks at a wedding day — everything you could ever want! From grainy cell phone pics to spontaneous photos with tourists in Philadelphia, this gallery has a little something for everyone.
Held against the stunning backdrop of Christ’s Church in Bellbrook, Hanna + Jonny’s gorgeous fall wedding day in midwest Ohio was one of my favorites to date. From the perfectly curated florals that complimented their cabernet and charcoal color scheme to the elegant simplicity of Hanna’s dress, every element of their day was not only beautiful but was also personalized to the two of them and their relationship. Together they led their closest family and friends in worship during their ceremony, and there were many tears shed as their entire bridal party sang along with them during a special music feature. Then, during their reception, they had an open mic time where guests told their favorite memories with the bride and groom and shared well wishes for their future together.
Taryn and Dan’s gorgeous October wedding was held in Cleveland, Ohio at Brennan’s Catering + Banquet Centers. One of Taryn’s favorite colors, blush pink, was sprinkled throughout her day – from her blush wedding dress, to her bridesmaids dresses, to her florals, and even to her cake. Gold accents perfectly complimented the delicate pink elements of the day, and it all came together beautifully at Brennan’s venue.
It’s been a little over three months of marriage for these cuties, and I’ve been holding off on sharing their bridal portraits for just this very moment!! About a month after they said “I do,” Amanda and Christian got dressed back up in their wedding attire for a one month anniversary bridal session at White Rock Lake in Dallas, Texas and OH MY GOSH GUYS are they not the CUTEST thing you’ve ever seen??
Brooke and Seth got married at Ariel Foundation Park’s Schnormeier Event Center on the most gorgeous late summer day, and let me tell you, it was magical. Everything about their day was perfect – from the gorgeously coordinated dresses, to their tear-filled prayer together before walking down the aisle, to their spontaneous exit lit by the phone flashlights of their closest friends. Every part of their wedding was true to them: the best man brought a picture of young Seth to show-and-tell during his speech, Brooke made sure all her wedding guests wished her sister happy birthday on her wedding day, and together they danced the night away with their nearest and dearest.
We woke up on Lyssa + Jonathan’s wedding day to a forecast of rain and thunderstorms, but they ended up having the PERFECT weather for their beautiful wedding at the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds, just outside of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The lovely ceremony venue overlooks Lake Michigan, and it provided the perfect backdrop as this precious couple said “I do.”
I don’t know about y’all, but goodness, I am the WORST ever about printing pictures. Being a wedding and engagement photographer, you would think that I would have printed photographs displayed all throughout my home. However, the opposite of that is true. I spend so much time clicking and capturing photos, that I rarely take the time to print images to display. Truly, this is a tragedy, and I have seen this trend with so many other people around me – I know it’s noooot just me who has this problem! We download our gallery and change our phone wallpaper and facebook profile picture, but then our stunning photos stay simply as digital pixels, instead of becomingming meaningful, lasting, tangible memories as pieces of art in our homes.
